The Beginning

In my first approach creating a personal homepage, I wanted to start with a simple, frame free, clear designed web site. I don't wanted to use any commercial software that does everything for me. My goal was to create the whole website manually just by using a notepad. Actually I decided to use "1st Page 2000" from Evrsoft (www.evrsoft.com). It is a free web editor which among others includes: syntax highlighting, preview pages, integrated reference window, etc. At the beginning a big question was the language. I first wanted to create a german homepage. But then I decided to use english as this site shouldn't only be visited by german speaking people. So please excuse my not really perfect english. I'm sure there are some spelling or other mistakes on this pages. Nobody is perfect...

Goal: Learn how to manually create a website.

First Improvements

The actual website is my firt attempt in trying to improve the design. Now I've introduced Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for the new design.

Goal: CSS know-how.

Next Plans

My next plans are (among others):
  • complete this website
  • having some parts of this website in german too
  • faster website loading, maybe using less or smaller pictures/graphics
  • usage of tools for a better and faster website management


    • But this are - as I said - just plans at the moment. Anyway, check out in the What's New section what I've changed/updated on my homepage.
