Aside from the special anniversary edition, leather seats in all 1993 Corvettes carried a 40th
Anniversary emblem on the headrest. Beyond that, exterior styling was virtually unchanged from the
1992 model.
The 1993 was General Motors' first product to feature a passive keyless entry (PKE) system. A
battery-operated transmitter locked and unlocked doors when the driver approached or departed the
vehicle.
1993 witnessed an uptick in production with 15,898 coupes and 5,692 convertibles manufactured. Of
the 21,590 produced, over 6,700 were 40th Anniversary specials and 448 were ZR-1s.
